Background;

Thomas Munck, a Connecticut native, has dedicated over 15 years to the fitness industry, evolving from a part-time gym employee in high school to a highly educated and accomplished coach.

Thomas’s journey into fitness began humbly, working at a local gym in his hometown where he gained firsthand experience with the daily operations of a training facility. From organizing weights to maintaining equipment, he quickly immersed himself in the fitness lifestyle. Driven by curiosity and passion, he sought knowledge by engaging with coworkers and gym members, independently studying nutrition and training optimization, and taking meticulous notes to refine his understanding.

While pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science, Thomas began his bodybuilding career, competing for the first time at 19 years old and again at 24 after graduating college. During these competitions, he discovered a deeper fascination with the science of body transformation, biofeedback monitoring, and individualized program design. This passion led him to shift focus from competing to coaching, where he could make a lasting impact by educating and guiding others.

Since stepping away from the competitive stage in 2015, Thomas has committed himself to continuous education through mentorship from industry leaders. He earned a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science and became a Precision Nutrition Level 1 coach. Over the past eight years, he has honed his coaching methods, tailoring individualized strategies to help athletes achieve sustainable success.

Thomas’s coaching philosophy emphasizes not just physical transformations, but also emotional and psychological growth. His approach centers on creating effective, efficient, and sustainable strategies that empower his clients to thrive long-term. Unlike programs that focus on quick fixes, Thomas prioritizes realistic, lasting results, equipping his clients with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed throughout their lives.

Expectations of the client

  1. Full transparency: Open and honest communication at all times.
  2. Staying prepared. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.
  3. Consistency! Sending check-ins on your assigned day. Adhering to your training and nutrition outlines, and include all data requested at the top of your document. 
  4. Realistic expectations! Don’t compare your journey or programming to others.
  5. Ask questions! This allows us to further your overall comprehension and understanding of “why?”.
  6. Work hard, trust the process, stay positive, and take things one day at a time. 

Expectations of the coach

  1. Same-day responses to questions, training videos, and check-ins. Responses will ALWAYS in a timely manner. 
  2. Educational! It is my role as your coach to further your overall comprehension of the various content knowledge to help aid in your physical, mental and emotional development. 
  3. Physical health will always be prioritized and blood work will be asked for when in need.
  4. Differentiation! All plans are tailored towards the individual and their biological responses. 
  5. Coaches are always furthering their education and providing education on social platforms and to each individual. As a lifetime student, to me, there is nothing more than learning new things and sharing them with others. 

What to expect from coaching with Thomas

  1. Nutritional plans: Based on the individual programming can be established through macronutrient totals, meal plans, and/or hybrid programming catered to their biological responses, metabolic diseases, and/or food allergies/intolerances. 
  2. Training programming: Programming for training will always be based on goals, biomechanics, weak body parts, and availability of equipment.
  3. Video Review: Clients are encouraged to send weekly training videos or as requested for feedback on form, engagement, and intensity. 
  4. Biofeedback Education: Learning how to pick up and monitor various signs and symptoms our bodies are telling us. 
  5. Education: Detailed explanations behind ALL programming variables, to and educate ensure that clients are equipped with all the tools needed to be successful. Via WhatsApp Text or Video messages.
